Garment Owners Keep Your Promises: Obaidul Quader

Obaidul Quader in virtual media conference

The Secretary-General of Awami League and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said, "The government has taken various steps to protect the ready-made garment industry. The Prime Minister herself has been working with the importing country's President-Prime Minister to secure the export order. Incentives have been given. Garment factories have been allowed to open".

He requested the owners of the garment to keep up the commitments that they made to launch the factory. He said this in a video speech given from the government residence in the area of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.

They said that the office had called them out. A lay-off of a factory was announced Friday in Gazipur. Employees were laid off. It wasn't supposed to happen.

General secretary of the Awami League again said, "I believe the garment industry owners will also set an example of liberal mentality." Sheik Hasina's government is by your side. You sit by the workers' side. Keep the promise.

He said the Prime Minister had ordered other workers to be included in the relief activities being carried out by the district administration and the Upazila, including transport. I hope the district government will take this matter seriously.

He also complained that despite having symptoms, many people keep the corona as a secret, Quader said they are bringing danger in this. If symptoms occur, do not be late to contact the helpline or hotline. I urge everyone to keep an eye out.
