The National University has instructed 2260 colleges to take online classes

Because of the coronavirus situation, all educational institutions in the country are closed. The Ministry of Education has urged all the colleges under the National University to take online classes to continue the educational activities in this condition.

To fulfill this decision, Prof. Dr. Harun-ur-Rashid, The Vice-Chancellor of National University instructed 2,260 colleges under NU to continue the academic courses with all health safety measures during the lockdown. At the same time, the National University's Vice-Chancellor has given some directions to those concerned.

The instructions were issued in a notice on May 2, Saturday.

NU will start online classes

The Guidelines are given below-

1. Colleges with the ability to take online classes will begin classes online as a matter of urgency. Colleges and universities that do not have online courses will also be told to come soon under this facility. In case of this,   the students will be able to take part in the virtual classes or webinars from their particular educational institutions through mobile apps or zoom software developed by the National University. A few colleges, including Rajshahi College, have already begun online classes.

2. No session jam in the institutions associated with the National University was kept before the spread of Covid-19. Every student should be prepared for the examination sitting in his or her room, for the examinations at the end of the lock-down, to ensure this continuity. After the disaster has been conquered, the university and the students must do all the requisite preparations to arrange all the next exams within the scheduled period. In this scenario, we should follow the procedure we managed to overcome the session jam in the crash program as before.

3. Students should keep in mind that they have to complete almost all of the courses of the colleges on their own initiatives. They have to keep patience and be sincere to their studies.

4. The online activities will continue even if the educational institutions are opened. f the shutdown time is extended, the teachers must plan and prepare for taking tests and evaluate the answer sheets to avoid session jam.

5. At the time of maintaining social distancing, to implement the above guidelines in line with the health rules declared by the World health organization, I am seeking special cooperation from the teachers, students, and staff members involved in their respective educational institutions.
